Beauty Tips

KEEP YOUR HAIR SHINY & HEALTY

What's better than a full head of healthy, shiny, luxurious hair? Dry, dull hair can put a damper on your whole "look", making an otherwise awesome ensemble look sub-par. Don't put up with troublesome dry hair any longer - to get the beautiful hair you deserve, make changes to the way you wash, treat, grow, and style your hair today!

1. Comb or brush your hair carefully.

2. Use hair professional hair serum and thermal protection when blow drying or straightening.

3. After a shower, never rub your hair with a towel, it will cause breakage and damage to the wet hair shaft.

4. If you desire to really maximise the healthiness of your hair, use coconut milk / oil on your hair (leave in for 30 mins).

5. For deep conditioning, leave the coconut milk / oil in your hair overnight.

6. Get regular trims every 6-12 weeks, especially for longer hair prone to breakage.

COLOR TREATMENT

~Long-Lasting Hair Colour Depends on Well-Conditioned Hair~

Hair colour can make hair more porous, which causes it to absorb and release moisture more easily. This can cause loss of colour molecules every time your hair gets wet. Here are tips on how to keep as much moisture in your hair as possible, by maintaining the best possible condition.

1. Shampoo your Colour-Treated hair less frequently.

2. On the in-between days, use a colour-safe dry shampoo on colour-treated hair.

3. After colouring, wait 2 days before you shampoo.

4. Turn down the water temperature when shampooing colour-treated hair.

5. Condition every time you shampoo colour-treated hair.

6. Use the best shampoo and conditioner on colour treated hair.

7. Avoid sulfates on colour-treated hair.

8. Use weekly deep-conditioning treatments to smooth and add luster to colour-treated hair.

9. Apply leave-in treatments to protect colou-treated hair.

10. Prepare colour-treated hair for hot tool usage with heat-protecting products.

11. Use less heat on your hair whenever possible.

12. Use products with UV protection to protect your hair from the sun.

13. Avoid chlorine on colour-treated hair.

14. If your hair is damaged, don’t skip regular trims.

STYLE YOUR HAIR DAILY

1. When you shampoo, use a gentle moisturizing shampoo on your dry hair.

2. When you shampoo, use your fingertips to massage the shampoo into your hair (from roots to ends).

3. Use a weekly hydrating mask for dry hair.

4. Use a conditioner for dry hair.

5. Embrace a dry hair-friendly diet (what you eat impacts your entire body).

6. Towel dry first (don’t be overly vigorous)

7. Apply a thermal protection product to blow drying or using heat tools.

8. Try not to blow dry your dry hair too frequently.

9. Time your blow dry wisely. Don’t wait more than 20 minutes after you get out of the shower. This will prevent stubborn cowlicks and you will get maximum volume.

10. Position the dryer carefully. Don’t blow dry close to your roots, and never blast the same section of hair for more than 15 seconds.

11. When blow-drying, dry your hair 90% with a vent brush or a paddle brush. This will speed up drying time, which means less exposure to drying heat. Finish with a round brush to smooth your hair.

12. Don’t over-dry your hair. The last few minutes of blow-drying are when your hair is most vulnerable to damage.

13. Use the cool shot button on your dry hair. When your hair is almost dry, switch the dryer to the cool setting to lock in the style and lock out frizz.

14. Don’t rip at tangles in your hair with a brush, use a detangler before styling to prevent breakage from ripping or pulling.

15. As a rule of thumb, “second day” hair is easier to work with.

16. Dry shampoo is a lifesaver for dry hair.

17. Tame frizz with a leave-in moisturising treatment.

18. Don’t over-use thermal styling tools.

19. Select the right cut: this is the start to making your dry hair look fabulous.

20. Consider bangs for dry hair.

21. Curl your dry hair with Velcro rollers.
